After my arranged marriage ended it took a lot of self-work to get back into the world of dating and relationships. Like yourself, I have gone through my fair share of heartbreaks. I know how tough ending a relationship can be. A break up is one of the hardest events we go through in life.
A few years ago I went through the worst break up I have ever had! After doing a lot of personal development work after my divorce I had a long term romance with someone who I thought was the love of my life. It was all perfect. Every moment we spent together felt like a heart-centered connection. Our relationship progressed to engagement! In my heart, I knew I had finally found the one to have more children with! Saying yes to this relationship and then yes to taking a second chance at marriage took a lot of courage. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, my beau broke up with me! I am not sure if it was because it took me by such a surprise or because I had fallen so head over heels in love with them but it turned out the be the toughest event of my life. This breakup lead to depression and lots of heart pain, and even physical pain!
For the first couple of months after the end of my relationship, I was a complete emotional wreck - one minute I was crying and the next I was laughing! I felt pathetic and had no idea what to do with myself.
I ended up becoming deeply depressed and even suicidal as the weeks went by. Talking to my therapist, my coach and podcast co-host Marc Dumaine, and the Sexy Brilliant ™️ community helped me greatly! If you are going through a traumatic break up, I encourage you to seek out the help of a professional such as a psychologist, therapist, and a support group!
As I came out of my depression and had a clearer understanding of my emotions I found a lot of comfort in writing down the personal revelations I made along the way. Remaining true to my ADD brain and accidental author nature these writings have evolved into The Heartbreak Process which I am incredibly excited to share with you!
