My name is Devina Kaur and I am a recovering dating addict. It all started when one day I was searching for a couch on Craigslist. An easy enough task, but I never found any couches much less one. However, I did happen to come across the hookup section. Ah-hmm...I mean the romance section of this website. I exchanged emails with 1000’s of men who were lonely and looking for connections. These men came from all sorts of professions, from a pilot to a garbage collector. This was the beginning and over the next 3 years, I dated over 150 men found on Craigslist. Yes, that’s Craigslist personals.
I remember confiding in my closest friend and her reaction was priceless. She warned me of the dangers, that Craigslist Personals was the bottom of the barrel. But as incredible as it sounds, I have had many many email and real conversations through Craigslist and a number of them are recounted in my book. My first ever hookup via Craigslist became a long term relationship with George, who was on Craigslist looking for an empty garage for his vintage car. At some point, George dumped me for a woman he met online in Thailand of all places. My heartbreak led me to try traditional dating sites and apps where I found a whopping 0 matches. I soon went back to my old but very entertaining playground, Craigslist. During a period of extreme loneliness I met men for breakfast, lunch and dinner. What I didn’t realize was I was addicted to dating. I was the proverbial “serial dater”. It wasn’t until the Spring of 2016 when a life-changing experience occurred and unrelated to this I became a full-time single mother that I came to the full realization - I was an addict.
I am now in recovery and I share the delicious details about finding sex. I mean love and dick pictures in my first book of the Sexy Brilliant series: “Too Fat, Too Loud, Too Ambitious!”
Book 1 is now with the editors who I might add, promise us this book will be a life-changing read about romance! I mean sex! I mean love! LOL!!! Frankly, I can't wait to share the stories about this journey with you.
